 It is with great pleasure that I announce the first resident-owned and operated charitable foundation. The NO RPR (The New Orleans Residents Program for Relief) will provide an option for donors around the country to directly contribute to a foundation devoted to the care of the indigent of New Orleans. The foundation will be composed of eight board of directors, all residents of the Internal Medicine Program; the president of the foundation will be Dr. Jeff Wiese, Program Director for Internal Medicine.
This is a non-profit 501 3c foundation, and all contributions are tax deductible. Please alert potential donors to this foundation. We recognize that there are many reputable organization to which donations can be made. However, since there are no operating expenses for this foundation, all donations to this foundation will find there way directly to the care of the indigent population within the New Orleans area.

We greatly appreciate all contributions during this time of need. FEMA and the Red Cross have been invaluable contributors to the restoration of New Orleans. Over the coming year, however, it will be the mission of the NO RPR Foundation to continue this relief effort to ensure that the under-served patientsof New Orleans continue to receive the best possible care and support.
